About New New Internet

Updated on

New New Internet is an independent buying-guide site about mesh WiFi systems and home routers.

We write for people who are tired of a weak signal in the back bedroom, the basement or the garage. Our aim is simple: help you pick a system that reaches every room you use, without paying for more than your home needs.

What we cover

Our guides cover mesh systems from eero, Netgear Orbi, ASUS ZenWiFi and other makers, plus single routers with long reach. We sort them by home size, number of floors, wall type and the kind of internet you have.

We also answer the setup questions most people ask, like how many units to buy, where to put them, whether you need a cable between them and how a mesh system works with your modem, fiber line or Starlink dish.

How we work

We read the specs, the setup guides and each maker's own information for every system we cover. We also look at what owners often report after living with a system for a while.

Then we turn it into plain guides, side-by-side comparisons and clear picks. Our How we research page explains the steps.

What we are not

We don't make or sell routers or mesh systems, and no brand pays us to rank its products. New New Internet isn't affiliated with eero, Amazon, Netgear, ASUS, Google or any internet provider.

We don't claim to have set up every system ourselves. When we pick something, we say why, based on its specs, its features and owner feedback.

We aren't your internet provider, so we can't fix an outage or change your plan. For those, contact your provider.

How the site is paid for

Some links here go to stores like Amazon. If you buy through one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.

That never decides which systems we pick. Our affiliate disclosure has the details.
